Binding tape (edge binding) from the manufacturer

We manufacture binding tape at our own mill in Kharkiv, operating since 2008 — a thin, soft tape that encloses the raw fabric edge of a product. Polyamide, widths 22–25 mm ex stock, in-house dyeing to any color and camo pattern printing. It is one of our highest-volume lines: we ship it every month to makers of tactical gear, bags and workwear. The prices below come from actual shipments.

Standard items ex stock

This is not a "price on request" list: the table shows items we produce serially, with prices from actual shipments of recent months. The exact price depends on color, volume and finishing — we confirm it with an invoice the same day.

22–23 mm solid dyed from 3.46 ✓ in stock
22–23 mm printed (multicam, pixel) from 7.32 ✓ in stock
25 mm solid dyed from 4.66 ✓ in stock
25 mm printed (multicam, pixel) from 8.60 ✓ in stock
22–23 mm and 25 mm are our serial widths — between them they cover most binding jobs. The difference is not only in millimetres: 25 mm sits better on a thick fabric package with lining and insulation, while 22–23 mm looks neater on lightweight products and does not weigh the edge down. Other widths, as well as polyester binding tape, are produced to order — state the size you need in your request.
The tape in the table is polyamide (PA, nylon): it withstands abrasion on the product edge, dyes deep and does not shrink after washing. Prices for solid-dyed tape apply to our standard colors; a custom shade per Pantone or RAL is quoted separately, from 1,000 m per batch.

Colors & finishing

Color, printing and finish

Binding tape is supplied piece-dyed in a solid color, with a printed camo pattern, or with a water-repellent finish. All of it is done at our own mill, no subcontractors — which is why the binding matches the webbing from the same order exactly.

Dyeing

Solid colors — 48 shades ex stock

Dyed in-house with instrumental color matching: X-Rite Color i7 spectrophotometer, ΔE control. Our highest-volume shades are coyote, black, olive and grey — the working colors of tactical gear. The palette holds 48 shades, including tactical AMS-STD-595 and RAL, and to order we match any color per Pantone, RAL or your physical sample (from 1,000 m per batch).

Printing

Camo patterns

Printed in-house: MultiCam-type, MM-14 pixel and "predator" patterns. Binding in the same pattern as the main fabric is exactly what gear manufacturers usually look for — the edge does not stand out as a contrasting stripe. We also print your logo or a custom pattern, with a pre-production sample for approval.

Finishing

Impregnation & winding

Water-repellent finishing on a Jakob Müller line — the only one in Ukraine: the product edge does not wick moisture. Winding: 50 m rolls or spools up to Ø800 mm with an intact core for automatic unwinding lines — the roll goes onto the line without rewinding.

Applications

Where our binding tape goes

Binding tape is not load-bearing; its job is different — to close the raw fabric edge so it does not fray or tear along the seam. Below are the segments we ship to every month.

Tactical gear

Chest rigs, pouches, MOLLE panels, plate carriers. Our largest segment — coyote, olive and printed patterns.

Backpacks & bags

Binding on internal seams, pockets, flaps and edges — wherever there is no lining and the raw edge must be enclosed.

Workwear

Work and uniform sets: binding on plackets, pockets and hems, edge reinforcement in high-wear areas.

Covers & tarpaulins

Technical covers, tarps, special packaging: perimeter binding holds the edge shape and protects the seam from splitting.

Pet hardware

Collars, harnesses, leashes: soft binding does not chafe and encloses the cut edge of the base webbing.

Furniture & interiors

Trim and binding on covers, mattresses and soft elements — a clean edge without overlocking.

FAQ

About binding tape

How does binding tape differ from webbing?
They serve different purposes. Webbing is load-bearing: it carries weight and goes into shoulder straps, handles and load points. Binding tape is a finishing tape: thin and soft, it encloses the raw fabric edge so it does not fray. It is not rated for breaking strength — what matters is softness, a clean edge and colorfastness. Gear manufacturers usually order both together in the same color — we dye them in one batch, so the shade matches.
What widths and materials do you offer?
We produce 22–23 mm and 25 mm in polyamide (PA, nylon) serially — these are permanently in stock. Polyamide is the right choice here precisely because the product edge takes the most rubbing: it withstands abrasion, dyes deep and keeps its color after washing. Other widths and polyester binding tape are made to order — state the size in your request and we will quote it.
Can the binding be printed in camo — multicam, pixel?
Yes, printed at our own mill: MultiCam-type, MM-14 pixel and "predator". This is one reason gear manufacturers come to us: the binding runs in the same pattern as the main fabric, so the edge does not show as a contrasting stripe. Printed tape — from UAH 7.32/m in 22–23 mm and from UAH 8.60/m in 25 mm.
Can you dye our corporate color?
Yes. 48 standard colors — ex stock from 50 m. Custom color to Pantone, RAL, Lab or a physical sample — from 1,000 m per batch: dyed in-house with instrumental ΔE control on a spectrophotometer, lab dip approved before the production run. Details on the dyeing and colors page.
Minimum order and packaging?
Ex stock — from 50 m. Standard winding — 50 m rolls. For automatic unwinding lines we wind onto spools up to Ø800 mm with an intact core — the roll goes onto the line without rewinding. For large runs we agree the roll length separately.
What are the lead times?
Items from the table ship ex stock: same-day dispatch for orders paid before 15:00. Production to order (non-standard width, material or color) — from 7 days depending on volume.
